About Embassy of Peru in the United States

We execute foreign policy, promoting and defending the interests of the Peruvian State, as well as national natural and legal persons.

The Embassies are in charge of representing the Peruvian State before the receiving State, protecting the interests of Peru and those of its nationals in accordance with international law, as well as promoting friendly relations and developing economic, cultural and scientific relations.

Among their functions we also find negotiating with the government of the State to which they are accredited, according to the instructions issued by the Foreign Ministry and obtaining, evaluating and reporting on the political, economic-financial, commercial, cultural, tourist and diplomatic affairs of the receiving State.

They must also carry out economic, commercial, cultural and tourism promotion actions, exercise consular functions when there is no consular office in the city where it is located, and fulfill the other functions entrusted to them.

Embassy of Peru in the United States (E-EstadosUnidos) is an entity attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
